VISITORS (PART 1)

Recently we enjoyed the company of 3 visitors from Australia. Ray, Dave and Ernie came to spend about a week with us. This is their story.

Here's the intrepid team on the day of their arrival. They are returning from lunch down by the beach, bellies full of the local cuisine. In the foreground you see Hayley, Jaymon & Ray; Darren & Ernie are tagging along behind. Photo courtesy of Dave.

The following are scenes of mirth and frivolity. The lads needed to find as many creative ways of using firecrackers as possible. Do not be fooled by Dave's absence from this photo. At present he is behind the camera, but he was as taken by the spirit of ingenuity and foolhardiness as the rest of the lads. Ray, on the other hand, is the voice of wisdom from the balcony, enjoying the show and promising our neighbours that he has us all under control.

It's all right Ernie. Fingers aren't that important . . .

. . . or maybe they are. At the first aid station, nurse Hayley supplies the burn cream.

Photos from the field trip. We took the lads to visit a few families. This is the family with the massive squirrels (see our entry "Massive Squirrels" for background information). Here the blokes are discussing vegetables.

Dave lost his glasses.

Hayley tries to make friends but even porcupines turn up their noses.
